We finished our Opinion writing unit and added some work to the Seesaw site. Check out what your child thinks about the different seating options in the classroom!
In Math, we are working on using place value to add, subtract and compare numbers. Students are expected to count to 120 by ones, 2's, 5's and 10's. We have been entered into an online Math contest, which is school-wide. We started today and students may participate at home. The site is www.sumdog.com. Student login information is taped to the inside of their assignment notebooks. Our class planted many seeds, including the potatoes, which most of you saw during our Project Days. The potatoes are becoming very large! We added marigolds, tomatoes, beans, peas, several herbs and more. We will be transplanting many of them into our school garden! If you are interested in helping take care of our garden this summer, please contact me! We have begun to conduct experiments showing evidence that vibrating materials can make sound and that sound can make materials vibrate. We are in need of the following (for our experiments): *different sized boxes, such as jewelry boxes and shoe boxes. (No large boxes please). *Toilet paper or paper towel rolls (empty) *solo cups Reminder: There is no school on Monday or on April 14th. Note: Our Spring Concert is scheduled for May 19th at the High School, at 9:00 a.m.
