Project Day was a HUGE success! I will be posting pictures soon, on our Photos tab! Our visitors voted for fiction or nonfiction books. The students had so much fun presenting, but they had even more fun tallying and discovering the results! It was a close vote, but the winning vote went to nonfiction! We are still enjoying non-fiction books and can identify nonfiction text features, such as bold words, side bars, headings, table of contents, etc. Ask your child to do a book scavenger hunt to show you features they find! We are starting a new unit in math focused on Geometry. More information and ideas for home are listed below! Friday, Nov. 18th, we will have popcorn day. It is 50 cents per bag. Students are only allowed one bag, but may purchase for others who do not have money. We will have Popcorn Fridays each week. We also earned a class reward, which we will be celebrating on Friday. Students can bring a beach towel and dress in "beachy" clothes (Hawaiian shirts, beach hats, sunglasses, but no bathing suits please!). We will be having an extra reading time while "basking" in the beach day! Enjoy the weekend, good luck hunting, crafting, shopping or enjoying family time! And keep warm!!!
